It’s easier and quicker to manage appointments and request repeat prescriptions via our online service. You must first be registered. Ask reception for a user name and password and follow the link below to register (photo ID may be required). Then simply log in and select an option.
NHS App
Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet — including prescriptions and appointments.
This website has been developed to help our patients manage their health and well being with access to local services in your area, as well as information about our Practice, and signposting you to the service you need. We welcome any comments or suggestions you may have.
Please order your repeat prescription from the dispensary using your computer printout attached to your last issue of medication. You can order your repeats in the following ways:
- Your repeat slip – tick what you would like and hand in to the surgery. May be left in the letter box if you would like to bring in when the surgery is closed
- SystmOnline – Please ask at dispensary for more details and to get your username and password
- Chemist – all the local chemists’ offer an ordering service for their patients – please contact them directly for more information
- Local chemists have a delivery and collection of prescription service, please telephone the chemist of your choice for details
Please REMEMBER we require a minimum of 48 working hours notice when ordering your repeat prescriptions from dispensary. Weekends and Bank Holidays are not counted as working days.
- At Bank Holidays and Christmas please allow a minimum of three working days
- MONDAYS are very busy – please order mid-week when possible even if you are a little early
- You will not be able to order your repeat prescription by telephone unless you are a dispensing patient.

Monitored Dosage System (Blister Pack)
A Monitored Dosage System is designed to assist persons who find it difficult to keep track of their medications and who sometimes forget to take the medication as prescribed. The system consists of a weekly set of medications, which is blister packed for different times of the day as appropriate. The patient can receive the full monthly prescriptionpacked in four blistered cards or the medication can be dispensed weekly, according to the wishes of the doctor.

If you forget to request a Repeat Prescription
If you forget to obtain a prescription for repeat medication and run out of important medicines, you may be able to get help from your pharmacy. Under the Urgent Provsion of Repeat Medication Service, pharmacists may be able to supply you with a further cycle of a previously repeated medicine without having to get a prescription from your GP. If you receive stoma products from your pharmacy or other suppler and/or receive suppose such as continence products and welfare food from community services, you should ensure you have sufficient supplies as you may encounter difficulties in obtaining theses over bank holidays, or when we are closed.

Medication reviews
The doctors at the Practice regularly review the medication you are taking. This may involve changes to your tablets, in accordance with current Health Authority policies. Please be reassured that this will not affect your treatment. We may sometimes call you in for a medication review and this may involve blood tests. It is very important that you attend these appointments, as it keeps you safe whilst taking medication.
Non-Repeat Items (Acute Requests)
Non Repeat Prescriptions known as “Acute” prescriptions are medicines that have been issued by the Doctor but not added to your repeat prescription records. This is normally a new medication issued for a trial period and may require a review visit with your Doctor prior to being added onto your repeat prescription records. Some medications are recorded as acute as they require to be closely monitored by the Doctor. You may therefore not always be issued with your requested medication as you may need to consult with your Doctor.
Hospital Requests
When you are discharged from hospital you should normally receive five days supply of medication.
On receipt of your medication requirements, which will be issued to you by the hospital, please bring this to the surgery or post via S.A.E. before your supply of medication has run out.
Hospital requests for change of medication will be checked by the GP first, and if necessary your Doctor will issue you with a Prescription. The Practice will endeavour to issue you with your prescription on that day, but it cannot be issued until your medical details are checked by the Doctor, your prescription should normally be ready by 4pm on that day, or you may be advised to attend the next day.
